Bismarck, North Dakota
The Bismarck Bobcats, in my opinion, are led by two of the greatest coaches in the NAHL. You don’t often take two out of three over a weekend against a team coached by Marty Murray of the Minot Minotauros. I am here to tell you that the Bobcats need to continue to put the pedal to the metal and they must do the same thing this weekend against Scott Langer’s first place Aberdeen Wings. Just when you think that you have Minot right where you want them, Coach Murray can come back after you if you do not try your very best, and the same with Scott Langer’s talented team.
It’s a new week in the NAHL Central Division and the Bobcats need to forget about their success against Minot and get ready to barbecue the Wings in Bismarck starting on Friday for their two game series. I have no question in my mind that Head Coach Layne Sedevie will have his boys’ noses to the grindstone at practice on Wednesday. They’ve got to come with their best effort from here on out for the rest of the season, or there will be no ice in the VFW Sports Center come mid April.
I for one enjoy covering the Bobcats coaches and players and I am not yet ready for an early hibernation after the regular season. I want the boys to have great success as a team and also want Coaches Sedevie and Roth to be able to celebrate their first championship together as coaches.
