How rare is it when you have two basketball programs from the same school competing at the same time in the WDA? That’s what we had on Thursday afternoon. As the Lady Braves were battling the Turtle Mountain Bravettes, the Mandan boys were playing Jamestown in the main arena. Both programs moved on. The Mandan ladies got balanced scoring from all of their starters, including their senior leader Ali Collins (17 points). The Braves were led in scoring by Steph Pederson with 19 points. We might be seeing the Chicago Bulls in progress. If Mandan can take it all the way, these Braves will certainly capture most of the media attention. Final Score: Mandan – 86, Turtle Mountain – 56.
