If you thought the Twins were dead meat, think again. On Tuesday afternoon in Minneapolis, the Twins were on Target against the Royals. The offense was led by Jose Miranda, who hit a two run home run to get the Twins off and rolling. The Twins’ starter was Tyler Mahle, who had a sore shoulder. Rocco Baldelli and Pete Maki noticed that he wasn’t his usual self. He usually has pitches that go up to 95 miles per hour, but due to his shoulder being injured, he was lifted. Emilio Pagan was the next pitcher who got called to be on the mound. He allowed no runs and he got credit for the win.
This weekend against Texas, the Twins will honor Ron Gardenhire and number 32 and number one in your heart, Dan Gladden. They will be inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame. Therefore, Kris Atteberry will be with Cory Provus in the radio booth on Sunday while Dan Gladden is being honored.
This Central Division is going to come down to the last month of the season. We don’t know who will be crowned King of the Central, but I hope it’s Minnesota.
