Going into the girl’s WDA, the Williston Coyotes were ranked 8th and it showed. The Demons got on the boards and on the glass, out rebounding the ‘Yotes. At one point, a furious Daryl LaDue called a time-out and began to turn beet-red while imploring his team to do better. That wouldn’t be the only thing that would have LaDue turning red. Early in the first quarter, BHS jumped out to an early 16-2 lead. Before the Coyotes even knew what hit them, they were down by 20. Kelsey Sigl paced Andrea Ronderos’ Demons with 19 points. The Demons go on to face cross-river rivals and six-time defending state champions Mandan today at 4:30 pm. Williston falls to a record of 1-16 in the WDA, while the Demons go to 15-2 in the WDA and 16-4 overall. Final Score: Bismarck – 74, Williston – 53.
