With this being his final shot to win at Daytona, Dale Earnhardt Jr.finds himself in 22nd place in points headed into this Saturday’s Coke Zero 400. You know that crew chief Greg Ives for the #88 is trying everything he can to get a fourteen time winner of NASCAR’s most popular driver into the playoffs so he can once more try for the championship that he doesn’t have.
Meanwhile at the other end of the Hendrick Motorsports Complex, the #48 car driven by teammate Jimmie Johnson and crew chief Chad Knaus have seven NASCAR titles to their credit and are currently trying to go back to back for title number 8.
As for Junior winning this Saturday, you never know because of the restrictor plate racing and the big accidents that always happen at Daytona International Speedway. I feel that it will come down to whoever can control their car in traffic and can come away from avoiding pileups on the track this weekend.
