Much like Daytona, mother nature would play a factor in the race. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was looking to make a little bit of history, but it didn’t happen for him on Sunday. My pick to win the race was Jimmie Johnson, but that didn’t happen either due to trouble with a tire. Also, Kevin Harvick’s car started on fire. You don’t often see that, and that is very dangerous. I think it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Jimmie next week in California. As for the 99 team, they are now joining Kevin Harvick who also won at Phoenix, and Brad Keselowski. What does this win do for Carl Edwards, you ask? Carl can go have fun for the rest of the season, and prepare his car for the Chase. Meanwhile, the 48 team is still 0-4 on the season, along with teams 14 and 31. Those are the drivers who are in a must win category as far as Jeremiahboyce.com is concerned, although we saw a little life out the 14 team this weekend as he finished in fourth place. I don’t care if you have an injured leg or not, that is old news, Tony. You are here to race and I think you have to step it up buddy! You know it and I know it. I am not saying that your leg is no excuse but Kevin Harvick shouldn’t be the only one to carry the weight of the company. You should too, and so can Danica and Kurt. I say that about Kurt because he is a veteran driver, and you would think with how smart he is that he would figure out how to win. As for Jimmie, he can struggle all year long. I would like to see Stewart Haas racing suck it up and take the title away from Jimmie. SHR has a lot of work to do, and I think that this past weekend at Bristol was a great start, except Kevin’s car that was a bummer. All SHR can do is come prepared for California. You will see my California preview later this week.
