Unlike Brad Keselowski, this reporter refuses to place any blame on anyone for what we saw Sunday at Homestead Speedway in Miami, Florida. We saw the coronation of a new king from Mayetta, New Jersey in Marten Truex Jr. and the Furniture Row racing team. He will get my vote for NASCAR’s best driver because he had a great 2017 season in his # 78 Toyota race car where he led in wins, laps led and stage victories. He was humble in victory or defeat this year and was never coming up with excuses when something did not go right on race day. He persevered and it made him a champion because of it.
Congratulations Martin Truex Jr. on your 2017 NASCAR Championship. You deserved it.
