Number 26 in your program, Defenseman Carl Fish, talked Bobcat hockey and how you have to defend against the other team from penetrating your goalies net. The first year defender said you have to play with strength and help your teammates from keeping the puck out of the net.
The St. Paul Mn. native who attended Johnson high school where former U.S. Olympic Coach and Hall Of Famer Herb Brooks also attended enjoys playing with his Bobcat teammates. Fish who also played four years of high school baseball and also little league baseball with Bobcat goalie Atticus Kelly is a big Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Wild fan. His favorite player and idol for the Wild is 24 year old defensemen Matt Dumba who he follows very closely. Carl has played hockey games on the Wild’s home ice at XCell Energy Center.
It was my pleasure to meet Carl and we would like to wish him and the rest of the Cats good luck in their upcoming two game series against the Brookings Blizzard in Brookings this Friday and Saturday night as they try to sweep them again this weekend to improve on their current fourth place standings in the NAHL Central Division with 27 points, sitting only two points behind the second place Austin Bruins.
