Miami. On Thursday night it was time for the most talked about free agent in NBA history to announce where he would he dribbling basketball for the 2010-11 season. James, a native of Akron, Ohio proved his disloyalty to Cleveland. After wearing number 23 since his arrival into the NBA straight out of high school LeBron will trade a Cavaliers uniform for the red and black of the Miami Heat. The city of Cleveland did not take kindly to the “King” leaving. The fans burned number 23’s jersey to show their disdain.
As for the Miami Heat they have the new “Big Three”– Duwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron “The King” James. Pat Riley handled the situation with class, making Lebron feel like family. He met with James and presented the Heat as a first class organization with everything that a “King” would want to win a championship.
Cleveland, on the other hand, handled James’ departure with no class. Burning his jersey and the owner’s statement that the Cavaliers would win an NBA crown before LeBron say a lot about the fact that Cleveland has no heart.
