The Sheriff’s Patrol sat down with a very smiling and joyous Assistant Coach Garrett Roth to talk about hockey and life. Not only are the Bobcats three points out of third place, they are also just seven points away from clinching a playoff berth over the Minnesota Wilderness, who they will play two games this weekend in Cloquet, Mn. The Bobcats have earned at least a point in their last twelve games, and will play the struggling Wilderness who are 0-6-1 in their last seven games. If the Bobcats win both games in regulation, they will return to the playoffs after a two year hiatus.
Coach Roth said that all the first year players on the roster are more seasoned now and are buying into the Bobcats way of playing hockey in the NAHL.
Another reason that Coach Roth is so happy is the birth of his first child and possible future Bobcat. Coach Roth will not be available this weekend in Minnesota, as the new dad will be attending to his wife and newborn son. The Sheriff’s Patrol would like to wish the new father and the best assistant coach in the NAHL congratulations!
