After clinching a playoff berth on the last night of the first half of the season with a 3-0 victory over the St. Cloud Rox, we found out that the Larks are only human and that every team is due to have a bad night every once in a while, because even the best athletes fall short of their goal at times. The Larks fell to the Mankato MoonDogs last night 9-4 on the road. The Larks will have plenty of time to get back on track in the second half. It was nice to hear Tristen Carranza hit a solo home run in the second inning and to back that up with another one, a two run shot in the third. If I know Manager Sean Repay, he will have his boys ready to respond tonight.
The Larks return to the “nest” on Friday night when they host Thunder Bay at 7:35 in the first game of a four game homestand where they will also play the Willmar Stingers.
