On Sunday afternoon it was the annual Brickyard 400. After last year being on the road course, it was back on the bricks where it belongs. Kyle Larson got all the spoils of being the Brickyard 400 champion. And the number 12 team, led by Cup champion Ryan Blaney and crew chief Jonathan Hassler, finished number 3 after winning at Pocono.
Yours truly was at the Brickyard in 2001, where I saw Jeff Gordon kiss the bricks.
NASCAR will take a break until August 11 due to the Summer Olympics in Paris. They will return at Richmond.
