The NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to begin June 6 on ABC. I want to give my readers my observations on the series. It’s going to be a rock ‘em sock ‘em series. On one side, you have Luka Doncic and on the other side you have Jayson Tatum. The way JT hurt the Pacers, he could do the very same thing to the Mavericks if they don’t guard him really tight. Luka can’t do what the Pacers did and let Tatum pick you apart. Kyrie Erving can shoot threes, and announcer Mike Green can say “bang”! If Dallas has any chance of bringing the Larry O’Brien trophy back to Texas, they must put a body all over JT and Al Horford. The Pacers got severely taken apart by Boston, but I expect the Finals to go seven games. If it doesn’t, Boston will be hanging an 18th championship banner at the Garden, and they will pass the Lakers for championships.
