Have you ever wondered what goes into making a Clear Channel broadcast of U-Mary football or basketball? Who better to tell you than the winner of numerous awards, and a veteran sports broadcaster in his own right? You can now hear him on Clear Channel stations in the fall and winter calling football and basketball. Anthony states that football and basketball are two completely different sports to broadcast. In basketball, you may have two games a week, while in football, you have a game every Saturday. The pace of a broadcast is totally different. In a football game, they have to reset the down markers after every down, whereas in basketball, they have a fast paced game, and you have to follow the players up and down the court.
Rick has a new partner, because Jeff Groseclose has moved on to be with his children during their football season. However, he still has a role with the Marauders broadcast. He will still fill in and give fans the three keys to lead the Marauders to victory. Rick Anthony will be joined by a former U-Mary lineman Kyle Myers for home games only. Rick will go on the road by himself to bring fans the Alliance Real Estate pre game show, and later the Buffalo Wild Wings post game show, with an interview with coach Kotelnicki.
I would like to personally thank Rick Anthony for his time and effort, for allowing us to do an interview for University of Mary football and basketball. He did not look at my wheelchair, or my disability, he looked at me like a colleague. Thank you again, Rick. You are always welcome on my website.
