Tonight’s NHL hockey game in Ottawa will be a rematch of last years seven game Eastern Conference Finals which was won by the Penguins in double overtime who were led by their captain Sidney Crosby all the way to hockey’s top of the mountain. You know that Ottawa would like to get even with the back to back Stanley Cup Champions.
I expect Ottawa to come out firing on all cylinders on their home ice, but the Penguins should know that everyone will be gunning for them this season. The two time defending Stanley Cup Penguins are currently in second place in the Metropolitan Division behind the New Jeresy Devils with a 10-7-3 record. Meanwhile, Ottawa is in third pace in the Atlantic Division nine points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning with a 8-3-5 record.
In my opinion, tonight’s game should be interesting because there is no love lost between these two teams and it will also be interesting to see if the Senators can keep a body on #87 of the Penguins when he is on the ice. It would not surprise me also if this game went to a shootout to determine the winner of this game because neither team will give an inch.
