After losing 3-1 to the Bruins on Friday night March 4, the Bismarck Bobcats earned a split of the weekend with a 3-2 rebound win on Saturday, and find themselves just two points away from playing spring hockey, where anything can happen. The champs look to measure their fingers for a second time for a championship ring. Matt Gates fired the game winner into the net and heard a chorus of boos, which is a sweet sound if you are the defending champions. With this win, the Bobcats sent a message to the NAHL that if you want to be king, you have to go through us in the spring. The Bismarck Bobcats have a busy week which starts on Thursday and runs through Saturday, when they take on their rivals from South Dakota, the Aberdeen Wings on Thursday and the Bruins on Friday and Saturday. It all comes down to 60 minutes on the ice, which can solidify a berth in the playoffs. One more win, and the kings are in.
