The Bobcats have a one game at a time mentality, going in to a series that could quite possibly go 5 games. The Bobcats clenched home ice throughout the Central Division playoffs, with the split they earned in South Dakota. Bobcats fans, your assistant coach was very focused on game 1 only during media availability on Wednesday. He would not talk about any other games, except for the first game against the Blizzard, which I give coach Garrett Roth credit for. One opponent at a time, which will hopefully lead to the Bobcats being crowned Central Division champions. It was the same way with Hunter Shepard when the media met with him. He was very focused on Brookings. Which is the way it has to be, if the Bobcats are going to emerge with any type of trophy, Central cup, or Robertson cup.
The Blizzard will be without Mikael Hakkarainen, who will be playing hockey for his country in Grand Forks, ND, at the Ralph Engelstadt Arena. That doesn’t mean that the Bobcats can take the Blizzard lightly, hence the reason game #1 is so important. The players are all on the same page with their coaching staff.
