After Wednesday night, in which the Bismarck Bobcats were held off the scoreboard, the offense came alive with an offensive explosion. The Bobcats were led by returning veteran Cullen Willox who tied the game after the Springfield Jr. Blues got on the scoreboard first, early in the first period for some blues of their own. But then Willox answered at 17:50 late in the first period. From there, the Bobcats offensive floodgates opened, resulting in a final score of 6-1.
After falling 7-0 on Wednesday at the hands of the Soo Eagles at the Schwan Super Rink, the Cats were determined not to fall to 0-2. After their defense gave up seven goals on Wednesday, they rebounded to only give up one.
It will be interesting to see how they play for the rest of the tournament, starting tomorrow morning at 9:30 on SuperTalk 1270.
