Bismarck ND:
After having a dominating week on the ice, the Bismarck Bobcats were recognized by the NAHL Office in Frisco Texas.
Last week we had Severi Isokangas, “The Ice Man”, on the Sherrif”s Patrol and then he put together a couple of stellar performances which earned him the # 2 Star from the NAHL. Then number 9 of the Bobcats, Mitchell Walinski, laid claim to the # 1 Star with a four goal outburst which helped the Bobcats melt away the Brooking Blizzard by a final score of 9 to 1 on Friday night at the VFW rink. It isn’t very often that two players from the same team receive league honors in the same week.
The Bobcats were able to sweep their two game series with the Bizzard, pulling them to within one point of fourth place Austin. Assistant Coach Garrett Roth mentioned to the Sherrif’s Patrol that the team has their focus on one game at a time as they try to hunt down the Bruins for the last playoff spot in the NAHL Central Division.
