When you are in a best of three series, you’ve got to win. And last night, the Twins were right on target at Target Field with a final score Twins 3, Blue Jays 1. Royce Lewis got the Twins on the board early with a two run blast off of Blue Jay’s starter Kevin Gausman in the first inning. Lewis also added a solo shot in the third. Gausman took the loss for the Blue Jays. Meanwhile, the Twins ended an 18 game playoff losing streak and have the Jays looking at elimination. Today’s game will be marked by sunshine when Sonny Gray takes the mound for the Twins. For the Blue Jays it will be former Twin Jose Berrios. The Twins don’t have to go north of the border to play. If a game three is necessary, it will be at Target Field.
