I will tell you what a Bobcat Staff Writer does when he doesn’t have his own team to cover on a weekend. I say “Let’s Go Wings” as they take on the current fourth place Minot Minotauros in Aberdeen this Friday and Saturday. Why am I going for the Wings? Because that is about the only way that I see that the Bobcats can possibly make the playoffs if Aberdeen sweeps Minot in regulation play. The Bobcats are currently four points behind Minot with only four games left to play after this weekend. Also, throw in the fact that Minot holds the tiebreaker over the Capitol City Kitties, and the Bobcats can ill afford to fall back any more points after the Minot and Aberdeen matchup.
If the Bobcats fail to make the playoffs again this year, this leaves Minot as the only option for us to see the Robertson Cup come back to North Dakota. I would much rather see it being hoisted by our coaches Sedevie and Roth than by coach Marty Murray and his Minotauros. You will never see me wearing my Tauros jersey inside the den at the VFW Sports Center. That is a promise. I will always get behind my team, the Bobcats, in good seasons and the bad ones also. Being the staff writer close to twenty years now makes me feel honored when the team opens the locker room so that I can keep giving you great Bobcat coverage all season long.
