I would like to tell you what my responsibility with JeremiahBoyce.com is.
My responsibility is, not only to serve as a sports writer, but also, I thought today would be a perfect day to give you some of my testimony and a look inside the guy who you think is the best sports writer around. Last night, before I went to bed, I was deeply touched by one of the readers of this site. Their comment got me really emotional. It is with great gratitude, love, and loyalty to this city that I would like to tell you how much my readers mean to me. I feel like it’s not always me that leads you guys to a sports story. I feel like this is my podium to talk about what it is that many of you don’t see, except for some of you out there who are present everyday. In my life, there’s only one champion. I would like to take a minute and step back from being a sports writer. Don’t worry I will continue to bring you the best sports coverage around, but I want to talk about somebody a little bit different. That somebody is Jesus Christ. I feel that it is with great honor and loyalty to my best friend and pal, Jesus Christ, that I am able to bring you sports stories. It has been a tremendous blessing to be a sports writer and to be able to give God all the glory. Without Jesus, JeremiahBoyce.com would not even exist. I feel strongly that the Lord has blessed me with the ability to be a sports writer. When you guys read this, I want you to feel is his power and strength that made your favorite website possible. It’s not the Sheriff, it is the man upstairs that is bringing you sports stories through me.
Finally, I would like everybody who reads this in my profession just to step back from sports. Whatever you are doing in the sports world, whether you are a sports editor for the Tribune, or sport anchors for KXMB, none of that matters. What matters is that all of us in this glorious position are only here for awhile. Enjoy all of the blessings that God has bestowed upon you.
Don’t ever think, oh great I have to stand in front of cameras or sit in front of a computer. Think about it as something that God has blessed you with and that you are a blessing to the position that you are in. I know I do.
You have a very open heart and wisdom that seems to come from past your age. I’m proud of you and all that you have accomplished as a writer and as a brother. Keep going on the path you are on, with God in front of you and you will continue to be a successful Sheriff. Love, Your Sister!
