First, before we get going, Bobcat fans, I would like to tell you that I’m still your staff writer, even though I haven’t been able to attend any games at the VFW Sports Center. Also, due to COVID, we have a Jeremiah replacement this week. His name is Randy McCabe, and I would like to personally thank him for keeping me part of the Bobcat family while I take a leave of absence. Now, on to the 6’9” giant from Los Angeles, Noah Altman. He started playing goalie when he was 14. His mom is from Canada, so he fell in love with hockey at a very early age, due to his parents being from the great white north. As for how Altman found out about the Capital City Kitties, it was from the head Cat himself. Layne Sedevie called Noah and told him about the organization. That was how Noah was first introduced to the Bobcat family. We also asked him about his size, and he stated, “I think my size helps me a lot.” As for Both goaltenders, they practice early with their head coach, because he was a former goalie at Bemidji State and with the Billings Bulls of the NAHL. It helps when you have somebody who played the position, because they know what you’re going through. When it came to the nemesis of the Bobcats, the defending champions of the league, Altman said, “it didn’t go well the first night,” and the Wings whitewashed the cats 7-0. But Altman thought the Bobcats played well the second night. The only thing that was missing was the win, as the Wings shot down the Cats 2-1 on Saturday night in a shootout.
The Cats and Altman face a bear attack this Friday and Saturday when Austin travels from Spamtown to Bismarck to invade the Cat den. I would like to thank Andrew Weiss and Noah Altman for cooperating with McCabe media.
