The Bismarck Bobcats continue to look like a Robertson Cup contender. Garrett Roth should get Coach of the Year because his team is putting together a masterpiece of a season. The last time they laid claim to a national championship was in 2010 under head coach Byron Pool. The goalie was Ryan Faragher and he pulled off a 3-0 whitewashing of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. This year’s goalie, Tomas Anderson, has broken Hunter Shepherd’s record for wins in a season. Anderson has grown into another Hunter Shepherd under the tutelage of Layne Sedevie, who is the goalie coach for Coach Roth. The Bobcats will travel to Minot this Friday to tangle with their interstate rivals, the Minot Suckatauros, and they will end the regular season on Saturday at home against the same Minot Minotauros.
