For the first couple of years in the VFW SportsCenter, the press were surrounded by fans in the press box. Then the Sheriff went to his friend Jane Link and told her that fans were being an annoyance. In the summer of 2008, the Bismarck Bobcats finally did something smart. They gave their Sheriff a prime seat with a clear view of both ends. That makes it easier for yours truly to cover the Bobcats without fans being in the way. The VFW used to be very crowded and small, but now the Sheriff has the best view in the NAHL. I can see both benches from where the press sit which gives me a better feel for whats going on on the ice. A big thank you to Jim Peluso and Parks and Recreation. It is a very fun VFW SportsCenter now.
