Even though we fell short of the “Robbie,” there is still plenty to purr about. I am not down at all, because this team reminds me of the Billings Bulls because of their heart and toughness, and the way they always lay it all on the line. Aaron Nelson tried his hardest every game that he was in the net. Layne Sedevie has nothing to be upset about, even though we won’t have Adam or Jeremy next year. We still look forward to the Bobcats battling it out with the Bruins and Chris Tok next season. If you want the Central Division cup, Tok, then you’re going to have to battle Sedevie again! Nelly and rest of the guys have nothing to hang their heads about. If you would have asked me at the beginning of the tournament, “how would you feel if the Bobcats fell short of the Robbie?” I would have said “that’s not acceptable.” But to go 2-1 is something that Doc should be proud about. I know it probably hurts right now, but as I see the boys I’m going to give each and every one of them a hug. Bobcat fans, please don’t be upset! Your boys laid it on the line for you, and for you to not say thanks would be stupid. Congratulations to Amarillo and the Wild! The Bobcats battled both of them and nearly came out with wins. Whoever gets the Robbie is going to be very fortunate. Obviously I wanted to hold the Robbie, but Layne and Garrett we still love you guys, and in my book all of us who are associated with the Bismarck Bobcats should celebrate! First, I would to thank Paul Teeple for his help with the Sheriff Patrol all year long. Thanks, Teeple. Love you, and you are a great friend. Secondly, I would also like to thank a young lady from Garrison ND. She always has a smile. Lena, thanks for being a great friend. You are a super human being, and I’m proud to know you! Also, Tom what can I say about you? You are a first class owner! I would like to thank you, Tom, for giving me a product to cover, on and off the ice. What can you say about the former Billings Bull? Also, what can you say about the former Bobcat? First class coaches! I’m very proud to have covered your team all year long. Definitely first class players and first class coaches! Even though I don’t play the game on the ice, I still wouldn’t trade my job for anything in the world. Once a Bobcat always a cat! Thank you for the great brand of hockey all year long. Layne, you are the best coach in this league! I don’t care if you don’t have an award. To cover you is to be around you all year long. You are the Jeremiahboyce.com Coach of the Year. Love you, buddy. To assistant coach Roth, thanks for treating me like family. I can’t tell you how much Garrett Roth means to me as a person and as a friend. Number 27, you are always in my heart whether you are home or away!
