Runestone Community Center Alexandria, MN – For the Bobcats, it was a chance to put away the Blizzard and make sure they wouldn’t skate in the second round. It was clear that this was a team with one thing their mind, and that one thing was to make sure there was no game five. The Bobcats outworked the Blizzard in every facet of the game, making sure Alexandria’s goalie, Matt Hemingway, would be blistered with shots. Hemingway, who took a 3-2 defeat last night, was playing his second game in two nights and the Bobcats made sure their presence was felt early and often.
The first goal reads Devin Schmitt from Isaiah Bennis at 8:37 of the first period. Then the Bobcats would double their lead on a power play goal from Jordan Singer at 15:09 of the first. Kyle Politz would cut the Bobcat lead to 2-1 at 17:50 of the first. But then the Bobcats would out skate the Blizzard in the second period. Bismarck’s number ten, Tim Serratorre, would score at 2:50 of the second, followed a Bismarck goal by Jeffrey Harris at 11:47.
The Bobcats now move on to the Central Division finals. This is another best of five series, beginning on Friday night at the VFW Sports Center. For your Central Division Finals tickets call the Bobcats at 222-3300 or go online at www. bismarckbobcats.com.
