We had a chance to sit down with one of the Bobcats newest players, Simon Morberg, who was recently acquired from the Amarillo Bulls in exchange for Noah Bormann. Morberg, a native of Sweden, brings with him a lot of fire power, according to Associate Head Coach Garrett Roth. Being 6’2″, Morberg brings with him a physical presence that the Bobcats needed. Simon plays a real key position as the Bobcats Center, being in the middle of the action. Morberg said about facing Minot this weekend that the Bobcats have to play together as a team for them to have success.
With the upcoming big three game series with the Minot Minotauros this weekend, Coach Roth said that the Bobcats cannot be running around in their zone. They have to play a good smart brand of hockey and they can’t let Minot pinch then in their zone. They also have to be solid in face-offs.
To be considered a successful weekend for the fourth place Bobcats, who sit one point ahead of Minot in the NAHL Central Division standings, they must come away with more points than the Minotauros as they have already played two more games then Minot this season. Hopefully, the Bobcats can also gain on the third place Minnesota Wilderness, who sit three points ahead of Bismarck.
