Just when this hometown kid thinks that Purdue is in trouble and headed for their first conference loss this season, I think that Head Coach Matt Painter just knows what to do. Last night against Maryland there were several key plays in the game where the Terrapins could of come back, but the #3 ranked Boilermakers just continue to find ways to win amazingly.
Who knows if the Boilers will win the national title this year, jeremiahboyce.com is not looking forward to March Madness just yet because I am enjoying their pursuit of the Big Ten Conference championship during the regular season as they are the only undefeated team left in the conference, currently one game ahead of “The Ohio State University”.
Purdue’s version of the twin towers, 7’2″ senior center Issac Haas and 7’3″ freshman forward Matt Haarms are doing a lot of damage to the hopes of other teams thoughts of winning the Big Ten this year. West Lafayette and the state of Indiana can be proud of their team because I certainly am as every win proves that my hometown university knows how to play basketball and if they make it to San Antonio for the Final Four it will make me want to go back to where I was born to visit the campus with my parents. It’s time to get on board that Boilermaker express as it steams into the post season.
