West Lafayette, Indiana. Even though the Boilers did not perform up to Jeremiah’s standards in the Big Ten tournament, hope springs eternal that they will bring West Lafayette a national title. The offense starts with Sasha Stefanovic, a native of Crown Point, and somebody who likes to eat around the basket. I am referring to 7’4” freshman Zach Edey, who runs the floor like a buffet table. Sasha Stefanovic is only a junior, so I expect the assassin to help Coach Painter paint a national championship. But Zach must be hungry for every game, and Sasha better be ready to crown the Boilers national champs. If they want a championship in West Lafayette, they better be ready with team unity. I don’t give a flying leap if the Boilers try to do it individually. If the Boilers don’t want to go home early, they must find a way to put together a team that is unified, and has one goal in mind, the thrill of one shining moment on CBS. If the Boilers want to be number one, they better bring their paint brushes with them. They know how fiery their coach is, and if they don’t want to see his face turn bright red, they better figure out a way for Sasha to paint a winning picture. The native of Crown Point better being his crown, because it doesn’t work with only one player. There has to be one unified goal in Boiler Nation. When ball goes up on Friday, you have to be ready to rock and roll. If the Boilers make mistakes and they boil over, they will return to a pretty upset home town of Jeremiah. I think Paint has a good team, but Zach must be able to eat when he is given the basketball. Purdue cannot miss their free throws, and when they have a three, they cannot miss their opportunity. They have to play as one for the whole city of West Lafayette, and they have to play with unity. When you look at the Big 10, you have nine teams that played with unity all year long, and the conference has a good chance to win a national championship if the nine teams play with unified play, and don’t monkey around with the ball. It’s going to take passing from side to side and not holding on to the orange for 24 seconds. When you have the ball, you have to make sure you look at the Boilers bench and wait for Paint’s instructions. If you start jacking up threes, you’re going to get a one way ticket home. You have to pass the ball side to side and move it quickly, and you must not get in foul trouble, and you must not get trapped at the time line. If you do, the other team will smell blood in the water and attack like a shark. Zach and Sasha must be on the same page, and they can’t be fighting for the ball. The Boilers have a lot of leadership and I expect at the end of the tournament, when we hear one shining moment to indicate the tournament is over, to see a lot of black and gold highlights.
