Yesterday, Brooks Lee gave the Minnesota Twins an early 4-0 lead, and Roger Clemens’ son Kody also hit a home run. But the Twins were woefully unable to add anything to their lead. As a result, they lost the game 7-5 to the Philadelphia Phillies. But, there is a silver lining. If the Twins can win three in a row against Atlanta, they can climb right back in to playoff contention. But if Atlanta sweeps the Twins, you can kiss your playoff hopes goodbye. There was no excuse for what happened yesterday. Derrick Shelton is not to blame. The men who wear TC on their uniforms are definitely going to get ridiculed on this website, because when you have a 5-0 lead, you should add to it, especially against Luis Arraez and the rest of the Philadelphia goons. It won’t get any easier when the rematch of the 1991 World Series begins tonight at Target Field. And the Twins had better be on target. Now is not the time to be frittering away your playoff hopes.
