When you are on the road, and you are seven hours away from home, there is only your hockey family to bond with. For the Austin Bruins, who were runners up last year in the Robertson Cup finals, any time you get swept on the road, it really hurts. For Bismarck, they continue to have only two losses, and it looks like Garrett Roth wants to deliver Cat country another Robbie. On Friday, the Bruins were whitewashed by goaltender Linus Vieillard in a 4-0 shutout. Linus is from Germany and came to Bismarck via the Spokane Chiefs. Saturday was a hard fought and well earned 2-1 overtime win for Bismarck over the Bruins. Garrett Roth decided to give big Linus another start in goal after the shutout on Friday. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it! The Bobcats got another four point weekend, and now are 9-2, and are tied with the pain in the neck Tauros for first place in the Central division.
This upcoming week, the Bobcats will bond on the team bus on their way to the MAC in the cloudy city and battle the Norsemen, where Bismarck should end up 11-2.
