Mandan – It was a day that most Lady Braves fans thought would never come. Greg Amundson, who won 9 state titles with players such as Rebecca and Jessica Kielpinski, resigned as Girls Basketball Coach of the Braves on Monday afternoon. Amundson leaves behind a winning tradition at MHS. The reason for why he’s leaving is because he wants to be closer to his son. Amundson will blaze a new trail in Minnesota. A replacement has not yet been named for Amundson.
Mandan sent players to several different colleges with a winning attitude, which is a credit to Coach Amundson. The list of players include: Kayla Rogers (U-Mary), Rebecca Kielpinski (Alaska Anchorage), Jessica Kielpinski (New Mexico State).
