With Charlotte looming large, Kyle Busch is not performing like a champion. He has had several things befall him this season, including cars that haven’t been working up to JGR standards. With Denny Hamlin fighting with Kevin Harvick, you would expect the defending champion to be right in the middle of the fracas. But instead, Adam Stevens and Kyle Busch are at the bottom of the standings with one more chance to make it right on Sunday at Charlotte. If they don’t win, you can stick a fork in Kyle and Adam. This website told you at the beginning of the NASCAR season that Kyle would be able to defend his kingdom, but now it looks like his JGR teammate is making a bigger threat to Kyle and his reign. But now I am not so positive that Rowdy Nation can recover from too many ill-fated mistakes. So, the pressure is on Busch and Stevens to mount a run worthy of being two time kings. I have stuck by my pick to win the title all season long. While it may be frustrating to Rowdy Nation, I still believe that the Las Vegas native has a chance to defend his kingdom.
