On this week’s edition of the Sheriff’s Patrol, we will talk to a young man who delivered the final barbecuing in overtime against the Wings. We will also check in with one of Layne’s associate head coaches.
On Wednesday, Bobcat media had a chance to sit down with part of the line that helped Willy Brown earn the player-of-the-week. He is a native of Moorhead, MN. Read about Aaron Herdt, the man who put the finishing touches on the barbecue, after the Wings thought they had the Bobcats skin. Aberdeen was up 2 – 0 at the Dean Dome. Aaron Herdt said the six year bench-boss challenged his men, by saying “lets see what we’re made of.” The Bobcats answered by scoring three straight goals, to give them the weekend sweep, and ensuring them the most players at top prospects tournament along with coach Layne Sedevie. He will also be joined by the Bruins head coach, Kyle Grabowski.
While the head coach ran away playing, his assistant was holding a no-bull practice. Garrett Roth, who is normally known as the good cop, was Mr. Intensity on Wednesday morning. He was making sure face-offs were done right, and if they weren’t done right, they were repeated until they were. Roth doesn’t care about what any other teams are doing, but his own. He expects the Bobcats to come out with a lot of energy on Saturday.
