This last Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Patrol had a chance to chat with Associate Coach and Director Of Player Personnel Garrett Roth on a missed opportunity to earn four points this last weekend against the Minnesota Wilderness in Cloquet Minnesota, instead of the two points that the Bobcats where able to come away with by winning 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night. Roth was in agreement with the media when the Sheriff’s Patrol said that it is important that the Bobcats get four points this weekend against the Brown Bears of Kenai River, Alaska. The Bobcats currently are in fourth place in the NAHL Central Division after their first eight games of the new season.
We also had a chance to meet with goalie Ryan Ullan who hails from Hibbing, Minnesota and was in goal for the Bobcats games this last weekend. We had an opportunity to talk about hockey in his hometown of Hibbing, playing in front of at least 2,000 fans for his high school games. Ullan mentioned that he is working on staying calm in the net. We don’t know who the starting goalie will be tonight as only Head Coach Layne Sedevie will make that decision between Ullan and Vladimir Cibulka.
Anyway, whoever is in goal for the Bobcats this weekend must be able to see the hockey puck with the help of the defense putting a body on the Brown Bears when they have the puck. The Bobcats can ill afford not to come away with the maximum of four points, especially on their home ice at the VFW Sports Center.
