Bismarck, North Dakota. With number one vs number two only 24 hours away, Jeremiahboyce.com was able to get an interview with a coach of the year candidate in my opinion, Mark Gibson. The first topic we covered was if CHS signal caller Dalton Feeney added any fear in his heart, and Gibson stated that “he is very mobile so he can move.” Gibson also said that “Century has some good receivers, including Tyler Rudolph, who I haven’t seen miss a pass yet. I also think that their running back Hunter Babebeck is the best running back seen in recent memory.” Thomas has never faced Dalton before so he doesn’t know anything about Dalton. This will the first time Thomas faces the young sophomore. It is kind of ironic that Dalton is a sophomore and Thomas is a senior and the two of them have never hooked up. That will be an interesting battle to watch tomorrow night. You can see if the young sophomore can out-wit the senior. I am personally looking forward to that battle, Sease vs Feeney! Now moving on to number two. When it comes to Thomas Sease, “he has a lot of good kids around him” according to head coach Mark Gibson. “Win or lose, the sun will rise on Saturday, and the kids will need to keep that in perspective.” Gibson went on to say that “there is no pressure on Dale Colby or me, because we have been part of the big game before.” Gibson also said “the game won’t just be on Hayden, or Feeney from Century, but it will come down to ball control and who makes the fewest mistakes.” Weather is also expected to be a factor, so the punting and kicking game will also be a big factor in determining who will come out on top. “Penalties can also cost you the game” according to coach Gibson. In coach Gibson’s 14 years, he said “the CHS game has always been a big game, and both teams have mutual respect for each other.”
