For the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team it’s been a less than stellar year. Unlike football coach Curt Cignetti, basketball coach Mike Woodson is resigning. On Sunday afternoon, jeremiahboyce.com wanted to listen to IU radio broadcaster Don Fischer instead of Purdue broadcaster Rod Blackmon. I thought it would be a unique way to cover the game. When IU is doing good, you can hear it in Don’s voice. On Sunday, the Boilermakers were upset by Mike Woodson and the unranked Hoosiers, with a final score of 73 unranked IU to 58 13th ranked Boilermakers. Purdue would like to go back to the national championship this year, but lately this reporter thinks the Boilermakers are playing like garbage. And that is none too pleasing for this Lafayette native. If the Boilermakers don’t turn it around, and Painter knows what he needs to do, and Loyer and the rest of the players don’t start giving a better effort, than the Boilers have nobody to blame but themselves. They might as well play in the NIT. I don’t know what you call that brand of basketball, but what we saw on Sunday was horse manure!
