The Tigers bullpen has not been a bright area, but there is one player who still continues to impress me and that is number 24 Miguel Cabrera, because you see him doing the little things every day. There are two halves to the season. One half can position you to make a run at a second American League Central title, and the other half is all about stamina and not allowing your body to go to sleep while you are on the all star break. Miguel is the complete cat! He can roar at you in all phases of the game with his running and his cat-like reflexes, and the ability to tell when the Tigers need a defensive play out in the field. Miguel also has the ability to read the opposing pitcher and win. When his team needs a big play, Miguel seems to be the one to come up with it. It’s not just the fact that he can read pitchers, but with one swing of the bat he can change the complexion of the game. It doesn’t matter how the Tigers are playing, with Miguel anything is possible. That is why Jim Leyland and David Dombrowski are two of the smartest minds in baseball, because they know how to get the most out their king of their jungle. They know “Miggie” aka Miguel will always put his heart on the field and give the team his all. The one thing that I’m looking forward to seeing is how much better of a player he has become since the triple crown a year ago. What can you say about the guy? He is a super individual player. Forget about Verlander for a second folks, I will watch something very special in Target Field – the growth of a king. Miguel has grown up so much, and the Tigers are fortunate to have so many great pieces of the puzzle. What else can you say about Miguel? He is just a good guy and also somebody that I will be glad to cover on Friday June 14th. Get ready Rebecca, because we are going to see one of the best Tigers ever, and we are also going to take pictures of number 24 every time he goes to the dish, because every time he goes up to bat is special. We have a chance to watch something very super special. Both Cabrera and Fielder are special in their own ways. So are the rest of the players who wear the old english “D” on their chest. Only time will tell if this group of Tigers can defend their two titles. With Cabrera and Fielder, we are watching a very special group of Tigers. They have both the art of hitting and pitching and they know how to use both in the right ways.
