Bismarck, ND. If you ever wonder why Thom Brigl and I have such a strong relationship, it’s because we both want the same thing for his Bobcats. We want Aberdeen to surrender their Robertson Cup, so that Bismarck can be called Title Town. But as long as Scott Langer is the coach of the Wings, I don’t foresee any change in the NAHL landscape when it comes to the Bobcats. As far as Mr. Andrew Weiss is concerned, he is simply the best at what he does. He is a jewel with Garrett Henderson. Every night during the second intermission, he and Hendy talk about the play on the ice, and where Layne and he need to make adjustments. It’s very rewarding to be a part of that team, because Owner Brigl makes me feel warm inside, and Coach Sedevie is a terrific human being. Layna, you’ve got yourself a hockey jewel. Thank you for letting me follow your husband, so I can talk with him about my favorite team. The Bismarck Bobcat organization reserves time for me to open their locker room, so I can bring the Sheriff’s Patrol to the best fans in the league. Thank you, Owner Brigl for my job, and thank you, Layne Sedevie for allowing me to put your players in the spotlight. The Sheriff’s Patrol is really fun for me to do. If Owner Brigl thought I was incapable, there would be a new staff writer. But because he knows how smart I am when it comes to our league and our players, he lets me run with it.
Sometimes I like to bring Bobcat fans the other side, too, by contacting the other teams. I think when I do that, that’s good for the league. Like this week, I am going to try and contact the head coach of the Austin Bruins, because I want to hear the other side for a change. Bobcat fans, I haven’t forgotten you. When the team is playing well, who could forget you guys. Bobcat fans are the best in the league. Sometimes, when I’m at home, I feel like turning on the Wings or the Bruins, just to check on the Bobcats’ next victim. It is kind of like my way of scouting. I hope the Bobcats fans don’t get angry at their Sheriff, because I try my best to think about other teams, too. I try to cover the whole league, and the opponent when they come to Bismarck. When the Cats are away and they go for a swim in the Riverside, I like to turn on 1480 KAUS and scout the Bruins so I can bring you an in depth look at the Bobcats’ next victim. It’s the same with Scott Langer when I turn on 94.1 The Rock of Aberdeen.
