Before the Indiana Pacers took on the OKC Thunder, they ousted the New York Knicks and became kings of the Eastern Conference. Instead of looking at the Thunder series, this reported chooses to praise the Pacers for what they did this season. Rick Carlisle should be given more time to coach the Indiana Pacers, and Kevin Pritchard, President of Basketball Operations, should look on the bright side and what Mr. Carlisle has done with the Pacers. I like the nucleus of the team, and I like Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton unfortunately injured his right leg while trying to deliver an NBA title. You will have that sometimes. Tyrese will have a long recovery, but I’m looking on the bright side and hoping that he will come back bigger and stronger and tougher. Even though the Pacers didn’t get the Larry O’Brien trophy this year, Pacer Country should be proud of the boys who represent our state. The fans who came to Gainbridge Fieldhouse should look on the bright side, even though they didn’t get what we all wanted. There is still a banner that will hang and represent the fact that the Pacers are Eastern Conference Champions. This is not the Mecca that is New York. This is the one and only Heartland of America.
