Day 1 of North Dakota’s version of March Madness was filled with big time performances. This time of year teams need their senior leadership to step up. The Lady Patriots got help from Madi Buck and Carli Peterson to send the Packers packing and set up a match-up with Andrea Ronderos’ Demon crew. The Patriots were ready to take control of the game from the get-go, making it, literally, a no contest from the beginning, as they capitalized from the charity stripe with a blistering 71.4%. The Packers shot a 68.8%. Meanwhile, here are
some of your numbers from downtown: 36.4% Patriots, 22.2% Packers.
West Fargo’s inability to hang on to the rock proved to be costly in this ball game, as they saw 23 turnovers to Century’s 11. Carli Peterson proved to be a big factor for the Pats, scoring 15 huge points, followed by junior Madi Buck with 12. Final Score: Century 57, West Fargo 37. Yet again, it’s BHS and CHS for a berth in the finals. There is sure to be no love lost between Madi Buck and Sarah Feeney. You know that Sarah Feeney and Carlie Buechler would love nothing better than a shot a the 6-time state champ Mandan for the
title. The key in this ball game for Century is Buck and Peterson.
For BHS, it’s the Feeney/Buechler factor. The war begins at 6:30 pm to see who battles Mandan or Fargo South.
