Bismarck – It was time for Jeremiah to be crowned champion, once again.  For the third time in 27 years, Jeremiah got to enjoy the thrill of victory.  This season was awfully special for me, personally.  As you will see later on in this story, pictures tell a thousand words.

Having the Coach of the Year meant so much to me, because I predicted earlier in the campaign that Byron Pool would be crowned Coach of the Year.  It came true.  Let’s give credit, where credit is due.  What else can you say about the NAHL’s Coach of the Year, Byron Pool, and his Assistant, Aaron Kinslow?  Kinslow came to Owner Brigl after Fargo’s Jr. A hockey team dispersed, and came to Bismarck as a present from former adversary Chad Johnson.  Only the best come from the school of Johnson.  Coach Kinslow is one of the more likable guys in the league, along with Coach Pool.  They have been more than accommodating to JeremiahBoyce.com.

Goalie David Bosner reminded me of Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils.  He could also be compared to Chris Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets.  I will remember Bosner, because he was always a reliable goaltender.  On many nights he would make spectacular saves that would have Skip Berry saying “Bosner being Bosner.”

John Clark could be compared to Niklas Lidstrom of the Red Wings.

What can you say about this next gentleman, Cody Keefer?  He was just, to put plainly, a sniper.

It will be interesting to see Skip Berry’s color commentator, the “Big Mac” John McClean Jr. earn his way between the pipes as a starting goaltender in 2009-10.  We might be looking at the next David Bosner if McClean works really hard over the off-season.

In closing, I would like to tell people that I am going to put together a slide show with music to illustrate what the Bobcats’
accomplishments have meant to me.  Once you have the title and shirt, you never forget what each one of those young men meant to you.  Once you have their emails, you always stay in touch.  Stay tuned for all your Draft Day coverage as the Central Division Champs look to defend their title. To follow Bosner and Clark next year at the Air Force and Army, stay tuned to this very sight.
