New York City, New York. Just when you thought you knew everything about baseball, there is always a surprise. I didn’t expect to be writing about a young man that I didn’t see having that much power. I thought for sure Fielder would definitely be a power threat, but I would have never guessed that Yoenis would be the bigger threat. Although I remember him burning the Tigers a couple of times last year in the playoffs, I never would have thought he would be the 2013 home run king. A note to all you Tigers fans: he has power! Yoenis is a deadly weapon for the Oakland A’s. Never underestimate the A’s or Yoenis. Congratulations Yoenis. We will hear a lot more from Cespedes in the second half of the summer, and maybe in the fall as well.
