A week after losing to Colorado in a shootout in regular season, the Minnesota Wild began their playoff run last night against a familiar foe, the Colorado Avalanche… with the same results. This time it was the 38 year-old Joe Sakic who buried the Wild in overtime 3-2. The Avalanche now have a 1 game to 0 lead. With the “call of the Wild” being silenced on Wednesday night, the question remains, does Minnesota have the heart or will they be buried underneath an Avalanche? If Joe Sakic has anything to say about it, the Wild can put away their skates for another season and give Minnesota nothing to cheer about, like they always do.
