Good afternoon, Bismarck Bobcats fans. It’s time to update the league’s greatest fans of the greatest team in the NAHL. There are four games remaining in the 2015-2016 regular season, and the Bobcats are one point ahead of their rivals, Minot, for first place in the Central Division. A lot is on the line for the boys from Bismarck. Four wins and they control their own destiny. They must hope for a little help from the Bruins, and their neighbor, the Aberdeen Wings, who they’ve barbecued 12 times during the regular season. According to coach Roth, the Bobcats need to match the Magicians’ level of intensity over the weekend. They are going to come in here and look for four points. The Magicians are looking to perform a magic trick at the VFW Sports Center. The Bobcats are looking for something bigger, the #1 seed in the Central Division playoffs. If the Bobcats are able to get four points this weekend, and claim the #1 seed in the Central Division, the other teams would have to go through Bismarck to get their hands on the Central cup.
As for who the Bobcats would face in the first round, it’s too early to tell. The next four games will play a big part in solving the playoff puzzle. The Bismarck Bobcats need to get back to playing their style of hockey. If the Bobcats can eliminate turnovers, and the Magicians’ transitions, which is a big part of their game, they should be able to put themselves in a good position to pick up a couple of huge wins.
