Usually, the media try to stay out of Coach of the Year voting, but this year, with owner Thom Brigl making the best choice he ever has made by hiring Bismarck native Layne Sedevie, and with the Bobcats playing so well on the ice, the on-ice effort has led to Layne being rewarded. We are proud to present a fine young man with the highest honor a coach could ever receive from a media standpoint. With the North American Hockey League probably not going to honor the Bobcats coach with their Coach of the Year, I felt it was my duty to honor an outstanding coach for bringing some of the Billings Bulls magic to Bismarck.
