The Bison were last year’s runner up to the Montana State Grizzlies. Gone is Matt Entz. He took a job with the USC Trojans, leaving the coaching position in Fargo vacant. The Bison chose a guy by the name of Tim Polasek to replace Entz. It is time for NDSU to open regular season play against the Colorado Buffalos in Boulder on August 29. The Bison are currently ranked number 2 in the FBS poll, but I think that’s a little ridiculous when they haven’t even played a game. Tim Polasek hasn’t even scratched the surface of the college football landscape, so the Bison are stuck with another head coach, which has to make the players mad. I would be mad that Entz left if I was a player. The Grizzlies, who are the number 4 team in the poll, won their first game on Saturday against New Mexico 35-32. I think the Bison are going to struggle this year with another system that the players haven’t learned about. They knew what to do in the Matt Entz system, but I don’t think they have had time to learn how the Tim Polasek system works. You have to learn the system before you play a game.
