Indianapolis, Indiana – With the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 upon us on Sunday May 27th I thought I would bring you guys some of my thoughts about what Indy means to me. August 5th, 2001 is a day that I will never forget. That is the day my dad and I watched Jeff Gordon win the Brickyard 400 and I fell in love with the track. I consider Indy to be my home track, so anytime that I see the IRL pageantry it holds a special place in my heart. Now that I am a member of the media it is fun to cover the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina. I take my job very seriously and try to bring you the best coverage I can on both of them.
