As the Pacers emerge from Madsion Square Garden with their 10th win, you can say whatever the heck you want about the boys from the heartland, but the Jeremiah Star refuses to put any negativity about his favorite basketball team in any of my coverage. You guys can laugh in the face of this reporter all you want. You want to talk about how bad the Pacers looked last night going down 11-0 on the road at Madison Square Garden? This is where you need your leaders to step up and grab the bull by the horns. What can you say about Paul George? The more you watch him, the more he looks like a younger version of Reggie Miller. Frank Vogel has put together some team this year, and whether or not they can be holding the Larry O’Brien trophy is still yet to be determined. If Mel and Herb Simon have anything to say about their Pacers holding up the trophy, you might as well plan to have a parade in the Circle City. I say that because I think that this Pacers team definitely looks like the Heat from last year, and I’m not afraid to say that, Lebron James! We haven’t even played the Heat yet and I am still not afraid to say that the Pacers are going to take your ring right off of your finger, because if you haven’t been watching the standings lately then you wouldn’t know that the Pacers have been taking names and kicking butt. The Pacers have won 10 games and have only lost once to the Bulls. So in the words of Bobby Slick Leonard “BOOM BABY, BOOM BABY”. The Indiana Pacers are number one in the NBA. All the credit has to go to the big guy with the beak, Larry Bird the legend, because without his willingness and determination who knows where the Pacers would be? If Donnie Walsh had his fingerprints all over the franchise, then definitely who knows where the Pacers would be right now. Thanks to a little home cooking and a lot of chirping over the summer, Larry has his Pacers eyeing the Heat and ready to swoop in and get a ring of their own, and bring the state of Indiana their first title since Bobby Slick Leonard was the coach back in the ABA days.
